2019 vintage. Another great effort from this Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel that will be certified organic in 2022. Interestingly I just read an article which states that they use energetic healing methods for the vines, based on quantum physics. The truth is in the glass, and the last 3 vintages (2020 , 2019 and 2018) are all terrific value for less than 20 euros.

Jun 26th, 202540/40/12/8 blend of CS/M/CF/ PV from north if St. Estephe.
Surprisingly open & approachable with a beautiful fresh nose with raspberries, red currant gelée, some moist undergrowth. Fresh, fragrant, flowery with a note of blood orange. So enticing!
On the palate this remains medium bodied & fresh, juicy. The tannins present & beefy yet so finely polished. Red fruits again either the hint of blood orange, some darker cassis after some time. Finishes off with a touch of angostura bitter. This has amazing flow and energy plus good depth.
What a truly lovely wine and right up my alley!
