Why do LVMH almost ruin these great chateaus? Even this off year was more luscious and interesting than any recent vintage after they sold out! Sigh...

Garnet core , terracotta rim . Spiced red fruit undergrowth , touch of brown sugar , grafite , tobacco , dried mushroom, touch of smoke . On the palate quite elegant red fruited , dried cranberry , red currant , still very much alive , just enough acidity. Slightly short on the finish , but with a round palate and a slightly sweet , brown sugar tinged finish . Still very much alive and enjoyable . Better than expected

Superbe bouteille encore en belle forme, d'un équilibre impeccable c'est d'une délicatesse et pureté à couper le souffle. Bouquet de fruits confits et murs, prunes et violette, notes animales, cèdre noble, cacao, moka et caramel fumé. La bouche est toute en douceur comme de la soie et d'une très bonne longueur. Évidemment c'est le temps de le boire il est en pente descendante mais pour un amateur de Bourgogne et de vins fins c'est sublime. Bel accord avec une entrée de fois gras poêlé & poires, et le filet de veau sauce aux champignons.
