Hugely built, powerful Bdx showing sappy dark fruit on an iron spine. Coiled up like a spring, needs substantial time.

Deep garnet and inky purple. Bold nose bursting with plum, smoky cedar, and tobacco. Palate is similar, with more blackberry, black cherry, cocoa/dark chocolate, and a chalky earthiness. Really classic merlot flavors shine around the cab franc’s structure. The 2016 is drinking well right now and has enough tannin to develop well for another 5+ years.
