Pleasant but unremarkable. Brought to mind my energy on a Friday afternoon at the office after having a glass of wine with lunch. I've read that 1970 Bordeaux can be disappointing.

After two hours in a decanter this wine awoke and became the greatness one looks for in aged wine. I'm sure there is bottle variation in any bottle opened after 40 years of laying down. This one showed up!
