There is an elegant, sensual personality to wine. Slight brett. Inflection of acetic acid, vinegar, on finish, which expresses a broader, less terrior driven, natural wine character.

Clear garnet with no trace of brick-red. Lively red fruitiness on the nose despite age. Supple tannins without being flabby. Nice acidity which pairs well with Prime NY strip, mushrooms and garbage salad (everything left in the crisper. Nice wine but I don’t understand it very well.

Very nice. Red fruit forward, balanced acid. Showing well and will last. Well worth the price.

First night: Lots of fresh fruit surrounded by a solid profile of soft tannins and acid. Next day afternoon: Jammy fruits, much stronger tannins and still a solid layer of acid. Tannins makes me think there is a lot more can than merlot, but their website says it’s 85% merlot. Very confused :(

A wine that rewards patience. Had it over 17 hours and boy, it took me on a journey. Very barnyard at the start, rough ard the edges. Reveals the elegance if ruby red fruits, earth and leaves (mint?). Satiny mouthfeel.

Damn! So pure! Soft & haunting nose. Cheeky acid, cherry skins, granite, long palate, nice structure, light tannin. Really lovely now and sings with roast chicken & root vegetables cooked in duck fat.

Corey got a few of these for me for Christmas. Drinking our first bottle now, planning to save the rest for a bit. Gave it 1.5-2 hours of air. Slight cloudiness. Nose is intense with black licorice, wool yarn and blueberries. Fruitiness on the palette is there but emergent earthiness and a hint of mint. It has tart acidity and a mild bitterness that I don’t dislike and subtle barnyard funkiness. Medium tannin. Enjoyable bright long finish.

Le Puy is becoming a favorite producer of mine... Just a beautiful wine full of elegance and finesse. Burgundy meets Bordeaux.
