Blackberry and cassis-scented #cotesdebordeaux #merlot - dominant blend. Fruit-forward nose touched with dried mint and sage transitions nicely to bright acidity mouthfeel, some oaky spice and substantial tannins on the finish.

Jan 7th, 2022Costco cheapie. Perfect color. Ruby red. Aroma is French style Merlot. Funky streak with weird berries (elderberry, cassis, craisins). Flavor is outstanding. Dry as a bone. Berry-licious. Huckleberry and black currants meet blackberry-elderberry syrup. That bitter bite the French do so well is also here in spades. Long linger of tongue smacking kirsch. This is a steal for $6.49! Definite buy again next trip to the biggest box store o them all.
