Solid older Bordeaux, great color, youthful, of course also showing some of the 1980s “Cordier Funk”, but complex, medium-long finish, lovely older Bordeaux!! (This followed a super-corked 1986 Haut-Bages-Liberal, which was a freaking drain pour!!)

there was a small window in which the tannins emerged alongside the fruit that was more vibrant than expected. exceeded expectations (esp since the top 20% of the cork had rot).

Ready and drinkable 30 year old Bordeaux. This wine would destroy Napa cabernet from the same year. V wry good but not great red gamey fruit dominate this earth driven wine... Love it lots.... Superb value.
