Feb 15th, 2018Fourth red in flight two for the Bordeaux Master's Class at Heart's Delight with all wines from Pessac-Léognan.
Deep and dark ruby red. Rich nose with sweet spices, cinnamon, dark cocoa and a touch of red fruit. Heavy tannins (7/10) and medium plus body. Similar notes on the palate with red berries, cinnamon and a touch of bitterness. Stoney and dry long finish. Just a baby and needs time to fully integrate. Drink till 2037. (90+)

Pop and pour. A beautiful dark ruby red color. On the nose: very aeromatic with dark fruit, herbaceous, some funky earth, leather and touch of mint. Taste: dark cherry, chocolate espresso, spice, tar, little bit of green veggie, and a medium dry finish with a slight still there tannic kick.

Feb 5th, 2023Felt like having a Bordeaux tonight. Was worried I’d open this 2014 too early, but it tasted great; at least another decade left but perfect to drink right now. Needs 30 mins of air to bring out the nicely balanced fruity yet pleasantly tart flavor profile. At the $60 I paid an absolute steal, would rebuy in a heartbeat.

Apr 1st, 2022Beautiful aroma of Cabernet Sauvignon. Powerful, weighty, gripping tannins, long after taste. Love the feeling when the wine coated the mouth. Fresh. This is ready to drink now. Just half an hour of decanting should do the trick, and then work your way through the bottle and just let it unfolds.
