Pianrosso Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Still tightly wound and closed, but there's great promise for this structured version to unfold in the coming years, as all elements are here and in fine shape.

Young wine. Decanted 3 hours before drinking. Outrageous depth. Like walking through a forest sucking on a Dutch liquorice stick. Typical young tannins. Damn good wine. Beautiful brunello.

Very much alive but deep in its developement. If you own this wine I'd suggest popping the cork in the next few years

Good but very simple. Sweet tannins. Almost no structure. Enjoyable but not a really great value. I actually quite like it after a long time in decanter. I tried it again the next day , with vacuum packed half bottle, and liked it a lot more. So, buy again, and aerate a lot.

I think this is as good as it gets with big Italian Reds. It paired beautifully with our ravioli and meat sauce. Would gladly drink again.

Had this at a tasty Italian dinner this week. Opened up so beautifully over time, getting better and better by the minute. Delicate floral nose and solid cassis. Can't wait to have more. Definitely the best of the 3 bottles that evening.
