Fleurie Gamay

Shining example of traditional Beaujolais, if just a tad more rustic than contemporaries of Fleurie.

Loads of crunchy cherry and granite. Very intense in the mouth. Lowish acids but still a certain amount of energy. Tons of dry cherry extract fruit. Long, pure finish. Fun to drink.

We like it

First TG btl but not a fan - super acidic, can even tell on the nose, totally overwhelms the fruit and then a bitter finish. Not sure if villages but nowhere near the Morgons I love

Delicious, bigger than “new” style gamay with less acidity and great body

Established winemaker, producing greedy airy/deep wines. This Fleurie 19 (red fruits and flowers) is still a bit young .. and takes a year or two to unify.

Vigneron établi, produisant des vins gourmands et profond. Ce Fleurie 19 (fruits rouge et fleurs) est encore un peu jeune.. et nécessite un an ou deux ans pour s’unifier.
