Sep 16th, 2014Had with wine group with crab. Sav Blanc and semillion Bordeaux blend worked beautifully. Good acidity but rich with body. Golden color. Melon flavored.

Apr 17th, 2017Great mix of fruitiness and minerality. Tangerine, lemon, peach, grapefruit, fig, honeysuckle, and touches of quartz, chalk, and chamomile. Juicy, plump, and plenty of racy acid.

Jan 10th, 2017Intense greenish yellow. Powerful aromas of honey, sweet spices (cinnamon, vanilla), expressive citrus, black currant leaf, mineral notes. High acidity. Creamy with some density and good structure on the palate. Blend: Sauvignon 55%, Sémillon 44%, Muscadelle 1%.
Fermentation in barrels renewed by quarter. Ageing 8 mo on lees. Terroir of Pujols sur Ciron is much like "Barsac red sands". Clos Floridène is 1 of 5 Bordeaux estates owned by oenologist Denis Dubourdieu and his family. Known for its dry white wines, a specialty of Denis Dubourdieu, who is also the director of the Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences at the University of Bordeaux, and who has been attributed with an increase in the quality of dry Bordeaux blanc. Rating 3,8/5
