Bright ripe cherry, but almost maraschino if they made that flavor in sweet tart. Lighter mouthfeel immediately inundated with dusty American oak, maybe French echoes? But a lot of winemaker here. Cola with vanilla and nutmeg, and a healthy dose of cinnamon stick. Finishes plummy, but cleaner, and freer. Almost ripe apricot beneath the plum, but foiled by the sweeter oak. A whole lot of layers of winemaker trumping what appears to be real fruit with its own dark purpose. Mitsuko's Vineyard. Not bad, but let the terroir speak up, without directorial influence. Just my pretentious opinion!

Sep 13th, 2015Dark ruby in color with medium intensity
Pronounced nose of oak, vanilla, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, bitter fruits and black pepper.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, oak, vanilla, plums, peppercorn and tart cherries.
Medium plus in body.
Long finish with soft tannins and bitter almonds.
This was great on the palate, but the bitter finish ruined it for me a bit.
Still a nice, Napa Valley Pinot Noir. Great with chicken dishes.

Don't remember this that well but I feel like it was alright. Think I only had one glass...

Dec 27th, 20142010 vintage.
Dried, dark Lapin cherries. Blueberries and red fruit with earthiness but not overpowering.
Tannins and acidity have melded beautifully.
Still crisp on the finish.
This Pinot Noir has aged well after 14 years.

Overall decent but at about $35 I wouldn't buy again. Started off just the right amount of sweet/tart but quickly soured

Feb 25th, 2016Bit aggressive. Ended up mixing it with birch beer. Saved it. Shoulda got their Chardonnay instead.
