Boiling sugar, cherry, almond in powder, spices... That's not your typical red wine nose! The palate is very dry with a strong acid backbone and a rather muted red fruit note all along, there is matter and width and a massive mid palate with a good tannins wall. The finish is rather long and fresh, quite pleasant with this red fruits note but you kind of are expecting a bit more and feel the wine is in a shy phase. Maybe a bit more air or cellar will help it spread its wings?
