Ruby going garnet. Burnt black cherry, mushroom, bell pepper and mint on the nose - hint of ethyl acetate. Silky mouthfeel, fine, well-integrated tannins, flavors of dark fruit, cedar and forest floor. Bracing white pepper after it opens up a bit. Exceptionally balanced. Perfect with grilled tri-tip and roasted potatoes. Left-banky, reminds me of a nice St. Julien - oceans are oceans! Bravo Paso Robles.

The finish is smooth and long lasting. There is an essence of vanilla on the finish that is wonderful. This is an outstanding blend from a great winery.
