85% Montepulciano, 15% Aglianico. Exuberant dark cherries verging on plums. Soft textured at first, & then the acid kicks in. A little simple, but nice.

Mar 4th, 2015Very big bouquet for an Italian wine. Oak and leather notes. Dark fruits. Smooth flavors rich with lightly toasted oak, leather, and dark fruits. Smooth on the tongue with low tannins. Very nice wine.

Blend of Montepulciano and Aglianico grapes. Deep ruby color. Plum, wild berry, dark chocolate, licorice, mushroom and leather. Rich and velvety. A whole lot going on here. Long finish.

Nose is cassis and plum compote. Very heady and hearty smelling. Flavors are berrilicious with a bit of coffee and cocoa. Classic Italian. Bitter, smokey and tannic all in good ways.
