Les Vieilles Vignes Cornas Syrah

Very ripe and oaky. Not what I expected I guess. If I didn't know it was Cornas I might have called it Washington Syrah.

Blue fruits, young and tight. Smoked meat, some floral, violets coming through. Will revisit tomorrow when I suspect it will be singing louder.

2010 from Magnum. I'm sure the potential was great, but the beast was gaining the upper hand:(

Classic Cornas, with a fine balance of fruit and tannin already. Drinking surprisingly well now but has the depth and balance to age for a long time.

Big and smokey

Pure fruit

Black currant, huge white pepper, grilled meat, black currant, black tea, spice.

Prune, dry finish
