New vintage - not sure if vintage variation or palate evolving but this is downright drinkable right from the bottle. Flush with ripe wild raspberry and blackberry, purple flowers and fresh green herbs, certainly some Brett and rich earth. Good acid and minimal tannin. Reaction around the table not so friendly - father says too earthy, Meg makes a face. I’m loving it! Enjoyed with reverse-seared NY Strip, heavy rosemary-garlic butter baste.

I think this is great for the price. Needs a bit of time to open up, and I thought it drank better on day 2. For me, classic tea notes, classic Cab Franc.

Smells like cumin and berries. And green peppers. Flavors of berries, violets, and lavender. Complex and sorta strange. Herbs and Indian spices. French. Very much French. Dense. Bitter and the way it should be.
