Domaine des Pierres Sèches Sylvain Gauthier
Cuvée Georges de la Tour Syrah
A poor man’s St. Joseph (and I ain’t rich). Peppery, minerally, blackberry fruit scents are lifted and wafty. Mouthfilling but lean, if that’s a thing. Great acids.

Jan 6th, 2018Great value. Tastes like a high quality Saint-Joseph. Nose exudes pungent cracked granite and black peppercorns, and dark dry blackberry skins. A wee bit of baking spice. Rich, savory, intense flavors. Very pure and long. Very good acidity.

Jan 11th, 2019Thanks again to Lyle Fass! Another great value. Fruit is there, but it's demure and not in your face. Balance is awesome with acids and tannins in great proportions with fruit.
