Premier Cru, but really Grand Cru, Malco, one of my favorite wines on the planet is just rocking tonight, pnp perfection wafting an unmistakable Dujac nose with layers of violets, cocoa beans, fresh red berry fruit and whole brunch stemmy spice. The palate is pure silk with a mastery in balance of richness, purity and delivery of fruit, texture and acids with a finish that just keeps on going. Amazing wine.

Médium garnet with quite wide garnet terracotta rim. Touches of cut herbs , wild hedgerow fruit , violets , with some earthy , smoky hints . On the palate this has good density and roundness , with some ripe cherry , red plum , wild fruits and a touch of spice . Good acidity and fine , ripe tannins , good energy and freshness . Good length and a ripe red fruits, scorched earth tinged finish . Quite fresh and aromatically complex , probably the most enticing wine this evening and probably the most ready to drink. Very polished and complete. From now and over the next 10 years .

Jul 23rd, 2026Slightly deeper ruby compared to the Gevrey , with quite wide garnet rim . Denser more closed nose , darker fruits , cassis , dark cherry , touch of baking spice . On the palate quite taut and refined with more tannin , more mineral with a dark cherry , cassis notes . More noticeable tannin , polished but present, good fresh acidity and good length . This needs a little more time 2 or 3 years perhaps and will last well a further 5 -8 . A step up in complexity and persistence from the Gevrey 1er Cru .
Slightly deeper ruby compared to the Gevrey , with quite wide garnet rim . Denser more closed nose , darker fruits , cassis , dark cherry , touch of baking spice . On the palate quite taut and refined with more tannin , more mineral with a dark cherry , cassis notes . More noticeable tannin , polished but present, good fresh acidity and good length . This needs a little more time 2 or 3 years perhaps and will last well a further 5 -8 . A step up in complexity and persistence from the Gevrey 1er Cru .

Young but open. Incredibly sweet dark cherry. Classic Dujac savory, smokey quality. So glad to have more bottles to see how this develops.
