Less ripe than my previous experience, this bottle showed more balance and length. Still too much dark (fig like) fruit for me but stout and muscular too.

2011 vintage. Opened on Saturday, tight knit, slightly dry with a firm touch of wood. Finished on Sunday, sweeter, richer type of dark fruit. More opulent. A finish with roasted meat/rusted flavours which evoke in a way a Morgon Cote du Py...

Alas... for us a bit too pungent and "gamey" but probably par for the course for this region. Definitely did not pair with our cheese and fruit selection. Not a condemnation but just a preference...as wines should be!
