Not sure if the fruit is a bit underripe or it’s just that this big wine is too tight and undeveloped. Some Corton steeliness, lemon and lime citrus, a bit of finishing bitterness are all present, wrapped in acidity that sticks out a bit. Give it lots of time.

2014 vintage. Decanted. Yes, decanted. Let this warm up a tad from the 39 degree storage. Ridiculous lemon curd, orange peel, "minerality" and just ripened Anjou pear hither and fro. Tasted 1.25 hours after decanting and slowly warming up (tasted at approx 64 degrees). Rocking now and in the zone for the next 4-5 years without difficulties/speedbumps. Phenomenal. 7.5.24.

young but wanted to try since the wife ordered white burgundy and Boillot is occasionally premoxed. Not this bottle. Started out quiet, took a little time to unfurl and then: wow. Really great soft layered texture, like drinking mercury. Very intense and concentrated citrus and minerals, steely like CC should be, acid that tightens up the whole package and drives it like a laser into and through the palate. Then it just fans out and hits every nook and cranny. Fireworks! Super wine.

Too young still but I wanted to try a first bottle. Now already a killer...how great will this be in 5-10 years from now if it already performs so well today !
