Domaine Lucien Lardy
Cote Du Py Morgon Gamay
I liked this wine. Good medium bodies Gamay and nice structure. Not showing much age yet. Had chilled with bbq ribs and it did the trick.

Jun 29th, 2019Lots of classic ripe black cherry fruit — albeit on the plummy side— and granite minerality. Fleshy and gutsy, though like most 15s it’s lacking acid and feels a bit blowsy. Still, for $14, a very good dinner companion.

Oct 29th, 2018Testing on a gazillion other grapes but fuck. Why the not cru Beaujolais. This is like someone who is not sure if they are blackberry or cherry but is berry undecided and goes to the dance with you. You are reluctant (still undeclared) acid. Y’all have a beautiful night. It’s a beautiful night time wine full of blackberries, blueberries, cherries, vanilla beans and conundrums.

Mar 12th, 2018Outstanding young Cru Beaujolias - drinks more like a Burg from this northern appellation - crushed dried flowers, lavender and tart blackberry jam
