Domaine Serene
Evenstad Reserve Dundee Hills Chardonnay
Clean yet rich. Want to lay down a couple and try again but I’ll probably drink them all.

Jun 4th, 2019Known for their outstanding Pinot Noir’s, this Chard is a “must try” from OR. Aromas of stone and tropical fruits, with elegant floral notes, barrel fermented for 14 months, 30% new French oak. On the palate rich flavors of apple and pear, complex, vivid acidity with a citrus presence. Smooth and soft, lingering, great mouthfeel ending with a lemon mineral character. Good now but you can set this beauty down for a few years.

A touch oak more than expected but not over the top. White peach and hint spice like cinnamon.

May 30th, 2018Beautiful Chardonnay from Oregon. Sleek and lithe with notes of pear, white flowers and honey. Pineapple, lemon, brioche and almond. Perfect amount of oak and acid. Perfect with a cheese board and friends on a summer night.

Jul 1st, 2021In my experience gifting wine in the corporate world is quite common. Fortunately for me one of our managing directors at the office knows I’m “the wine guy” so, whenever I see her name pop up on my caller-ID, I know I’ve got a bottle coming my way. Sure enough a client sent her this beautiful Chardonnay from Domaine Serene and boy, I’m really liking it. Bright minerality, lemon custard, lemon meringue, sugary fondant, saline, tangerine, caramelized sugar and a whiff of smoke. Pretty mouthfeel with a nice viscosity that gives it some heft, yet there’s a good amount of balance here that exudes a youthful, eager poise bent on growth.
