Domaine Sigalas
Kavalieros Santorini Assyrtiko

There is no question that this wine is a good Assyrtiko. But is it worth its high price? I think not. Excellent salinity combined with lemon, this wine is perfect with anchovies or salty foods. I had it with Ramen, which worked. But it remains an Assyrtiko, not a high-end Burgundy, Bordeaux, or Napa Chardonnay. And it is hard to distinguish from excellent Assyrtikos at half the price.
