Medium ruby, the 2019 Bandol from Domaine Tempier is a bit shy at first. After a few hours, pure but still somewhat restrained aromas of blackberry, red and black cherry, oregano, lavender, black olives and earth emerge from the glass. Full bodied with pronouned flavor concentration and ripe tannins, the wine delivers a long finish. Drink from 2024 until 2035.

Was looking forward to this and saved it for our last night in Provence. Was a bit fizzy at the beginning and never really got above muted. Shame...

Love this wine. Lively upon opening but would probably age just fine. Herbal and berries (cherry, strawberries) complement each other. Just a little earthy.

Outstanding. Strong dusty, earthy elements I usually don't associate with Bandol. Iron notes. Good tannins/structure.
