Serious, tight and on the austere side.
Mouthfeel is striking. Tannins are MASSIVE, coating the entire mouth, letting a magnificent dark cherry emerging. I absolutely loved this wine. A keeper, give it ten years collaring as the tannins are quite present.

This wine’s been shut down tight as a drum ever since I acquired it five or six years ago based on Antonio’s recommendation. But tonight, it finally started to strut its stuff and what fine, aromatically complex, stuff it is! Thank you., Antonio!

2007. Lots of leather aromas when first opened and a plump fruitiness. Decant helped to balance everything and the sour cherry, earthiness, and tannins were a great match for grilled ribeyes! Happy Mother’s Day!

This was singing tonight after giving it a little air as the change was dramatic where it started off with a ripeness & full body note that opened up to a more classically styled Barolo that was structured showing a perfumed nose of tart cherry, spice box with menthol, dried herbs, tar & rose petal. I have had this wine many times & tonight this was the best btl that I have had of this.
