Oct 18th, 2017Beautiful. Bad vintage? I can't seem to find that. Aromas of bacon fat, smoked ham, sweet wood, smoke, candied olive, cigar ash, coffee bean, licorice root, flowers, thyme. So savory. Palate is blackberry confit, peppercorn, leather, granite, tobacco. Lengthy finish. Firm backbone with super elegant posture. Sexy tannins, supple and refined, lovely acid profile.

Oct 11th, 2014Not the best vintage, but this is a classy wine. Muted fruit but black pepper on the nose. Palette of black pepper and a nice finish, good acidic structure. The wine paired surprisingly well with buffalo wings! It improved over the course of a three hour decant and the last drop was the best. Drink now.
