Blend of 70% old Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 5% other allowed varieties, aged for 3 years, deep inky red color with aromas of ripe berry fruits and earthy spice. On the palate flavors of black raspberry and blackberry with cedar, cacao and earth notes, vivid acidity nice structure. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit and spice character. Good now will still cellar.

Too young atm. Firm cherry fruits, with tanine sticking to the teeth. note to self: let it be for another 2-3 years.

Substantial, classy Chateauneuf. Opened too young but evened out given enough time to breathe. Sausage, char, overripe fruit, plum on nose. Palate right on in weight, viscous. A steal at $41 (Wegmans).

Somewhat sour on the nose, light fruit, hearty tannins, really pleasant at the end where the fruit makes a reappearance.
