Côtes -du-Rhone Syrah

This wine is inky dark in the glass. The nose sports aromas of blackberry, plum, and currant, with notes of sweet oak spice, white pepper, and a bit of anise. There is also a tarry sensation in the bouquet. The palate displays all the fruit you can handle, along with some of that oak. The tannic grip is fairly intense upon opening and should be left to breathe a bit before serving. It is a great pairing with any kind of fatty beef.

A blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache & 10% Mourvèdre with fruit forward aromas of berries and spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with smoke and savory spice. Medium+ finish, racy tannins ending with earthy herbs. Great value, tasting well, consistent quality.

Very nice, reliable, great qpr Cotes du Rhône.

Acid and raspberry. not much else.

Strong tannins, astringent. Needs a spicy, flavorful dish to go with. Not for drinking by itself.
