Altare's Cerretta 2hrs after decanting& Voerzio's magnum-only bottling of Sarmassa 2 weeks after accessing by Coravin. Amazing duo!!

Chocolate, black roses, initially big black fruit and bright red fruit framed by a crisp minerality and Orange soda soaked tar. Loved it instantly, but like a Proustian girlfriend viewed in the changing light of the moon, this lycanthropic she-devil turned dark, and her venomous fangs, popping out to feed left me in a shadow of big tannins (lovely) and undulating demoniacs. Bad vintage, over-extracted, but great effort in a really bad vintage. Hence the rating. Haters gonna hate! I love you! #ElioAltare #Barolo #piedmontesewines
