Out of mag. After dinner. Big and powerful, but tannins started to mellow.

From magnum. Lovely fragrant nose enhanced by some good French Oak. Dare I say sexy. A trifle oaky but excellent nevertheless. Full bodied. Very good.

Only makes #barolo on his best vintages. Only 4 times in past 10 years.

So... I am missing Italy. I'm going back to Piedmonte, and soon. So I popped this. I have it in the decanter but I can already tell this is at the top of my scale.
I'll try my best to justify... But this wine is a 9.5 on my scale, it's tough to move beyond that as I am giving a nod to the greatest wines that I have yet to experience.
It's a perfect round cherry in your mouth. I should have more but I'm tired.

My fav of the entire tasting- balanced fruits, minerals, and tannins. So elegant!

Not sure what I was drinking as it reminded everyone of a Cali style wine with rich ripe fruits, sweet oak and some alcohol on the back . Ordered this because of the great tasting we just had at Elio Grasso. Very disappointing!
