A new favorite of what CA does greatly...This 'blacks blend' is just perfect. Rich, dark, layered and vibrant. It showed best after a day being opened.

Mar 5th, 2017I used to love this wine. What the hell happened? Incredibly astringent and off putting sour note mid palate that corrupts the whole flavor profile. Some ripe dark fruits a la Zinfandel in the front but completely falls apart after.

Red wine (in a can), Paso Robles “Rhone” blend (36% Zin, 18% Mourvedre, 14 Grenache, 12 Syrah, 10 Cabernet Sauvignon, 6 Tempranillo, 4 Viognier) ... 500 ml... over delivers for price point ($8/can, 2&3+ glasses depending on 5-6oz pours, 14.9 abv) fruit forward yet structured... Very complex wine. Scent is strawberry, juicy ripe cranberry, also get some blueberry/strawberry pie aspect, definitely smells like a desert. smells very hot as well but doesnt taste like a 14.7% wine, lastly a hint of spice, black pepper/cinnamon. Fairly dark wine, but not black. Silly smooth Mouth feel, tastes very different. Tastes sweet, ripe juicy strawberry, cherry, and pomegranate. Very long lasting finish. I love this wine!

Bought at fermentations wine store in Cambria. OK. Not bad but not stellar. A true blend. Zinfandel, Mourvèdre , grenache,Syrah, Cabernet sauvignon, Tempranillo and Viognier. Made in Paso Robles.
