2017 vintage. So yummy and tropical. Aromas are very much New Zealand-style hops with passionfruit, melon, orange blossom water, overripe peach, mango. Palate has great acidity and lots of citrus. Clean and lacking overt funkiness.

Blind, I would have not recognized the hops. I think I would have thought of some esoteric volcanic soil wine from somewhere in the middle of the Mediterranean. It totally works.

Smelling: cantaloupe and passion fruit in a bag that got a little hot and farty

Tasting: if the world made flavored chalk like the smelly markers of my childhood—the lemon flavor and licking the inside of a saison glass to get the leftover foam.
