Lovely earthy sour/sweet cherry. Mint, forest floor. Very fragrant. Rustic but so detailed. Super sweet fruit and wonderful juiciness and a lithe yet deep structure. This cuts quite a swath on the palate. Very balanced and so pure. Terrific freshness and complexity today but will age. Great showing.

Alas the wood has outlasted the fruit here.

The fruit is still lovely. Balanced cherry fruit. But there is still a tinge of wood which I find irritating. Let’s see how this airs.

Wow, this has definitely entered its early drinking window. The rusticity of past btls has dissipated. On the nose: sweet cherry, smoke, soft rose/pomegranate and a suggestion of wet leaf. On the palate: damp earth, wet leaf, strawberry, soft coffee, fantastic density supported by acidity that kicks in on the end, perfectly attenuated tannin that add a lovely structure to the finish.
