Jan 10th, 20202016 vintage. From the east side of Paso Robles. 92% cabernet sauvignon, 6% petite syrah and 2% grenache. 14 months in French, Hungarian and American oak, 40% new. Nice nose with dark jammy berries, clove and vanilla. Concentrated dark fruit in the mouth with nice acidity and an interesting tannic bite. Slightly drying in the end unfortunately. Nice value at 12.90 euro, but with a bit less oak this could be amazing California value. Abv. 14,5 %.
