Ripe on initial entry, then turns tannic and structured with chalky-textured tannin and discernible bitterness on the finish. Needs a big hearty winter stew. (Was a bit overpowering for my puttanesca.)

Lush and thick on the tongue with blackberries, figs and anise. The finish is fairly long as the acidity builds a bit.

Beautiful Zin! Not overblown, more of an elegant zin. Subtle pepper/spice notes with bright red raspberry fruits. Balanced with nice acid on the finish. This is a great Zin to drink alone or with many different foods.
