Soft and pretty. Delicate raspberry, black pepper, some green stuff. This is slightly cloudy and diffuse. Not intense but very delicate and pretty.

Delicious treat from the legendary Gaja. Very perfumed with notes of leather, cigar box, tea, and earth. On the palate, getting red fruit, mushroom, and leather. Acidity medium, body medium, drinking well currently. Highly recommended.

No formal notes . This bottle goes to show that trying to judge a bottle by just looking at the wine through the glass isn’t going to help very much . It was very promising with an apparently and still ruby/reddish hue. Once opened and poured this was a pretty pale garnet , terracotta colour with a touch of haziness. On the nose it was just so old and tertiary I did wonder whether I actually wanted to taste it . However I did try it , and instantly wished I hadn’t . Dead as a dodo ….. Another disappointment. Judgement reserved …
