Tasted blind . Medium garnet , more terracotta rim . More closed on the nose , some sweet cherry and cedar , orange rind and touch of anise . This is again quite fresh on the palate , some cherry and cedar , cut herbs , anise . Pretty grippy tannins . Reasonable length with good strawberry , raspberry , liquorice tinged finish . Needs a little more time , better in a couple of years and will last well a further 5-10.

Tasted the 18’ vintage and wasn’t too impressed, given the price point. This ‘17 is quite similar to the ‘18 - nice fragrant nose but the fruits felt a bit diluted on the palate. Granted neither the ‘17 nor the ‘18 is a strong vintage, but there are better bottlings for less.

Although highly evaluated, I found it somewhat thin. I bought it at Enoteca for ¥12,000.
