The nose is really pretty showcasing classic Nebbiolo notes of cherries, rose petals, dried herbs, and tar. You’d never know this is more than a decade old as it presents a striking ruby color in the glass with the faintest hint of orange near the rim. Unfortunately the palate is a bit clumsy and disjointed. The red fruit is pure and concentrated initially but takes a sharp turn towards bitterness that never fully resolves. The tannin and acidity work in tandem providing grip and a youthful freshness. Hoping this is in a dumb stage and just needs more time to fully integrate, but the fruit quality is a bit concerning for long term aging.
