4 years old. That’s kinda old for Zin. Wonder how old the vines are? Rusty maroon in the glass. Easy and jammy. Soft and simple. It’s a pretty boring wine, but it captures the OVZ style at an amazing low price. It’s drinkable and great for new world fruit driven wino.

This is not what the earlier vintages appear to be. At best it is slightly sweet with little acid. Minerally nose. I am surprised as I have found gnarly head wine consistently good. Perhaps a bad bottle? No obvious wine flaws....

Quite delicious. Ripe berries, pepper spice and lightly toasted oak. Rich and flavourful.
