It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Deep purple in color with a wide reddish rim.

Beautiful nose of blackberries, black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, tobacco, light vanilla, cedar, toast, light earth, cola, herbs, licorice, eucalyptus, dark coffee, mediterranean spices, chocolates and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, blackberries, stewed cherries, tobacco leaf, herbs, peppercorn, dark chocolates, earth, light vegetables, coffee, mediterranean spices and light black tea.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags Leap District in Napa Valley. Fruit forward and nicely balanced with a soft mouth feel. Elegant and rich, very complex and engaging.

Not not in your face kind of Napa Cabernet, but rather subdued and feels like a Napa Cabernet with a touch of Left Bank Bordeaux.

This 9-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon is drinking at its peak now, and will continue to do so in the next 5 years.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 30 minutes of airtime, when the beautiful nose shows itself. Gets earthier as it opens up to balance all those black fruits.

A good sipping wine that will also pair nicely with food.

A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot. A tiny production of less than 1,200 bottles.

14.8% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$145 (current vintage).
