Eponym' Les Charmes Morgon Gamay

More fruit driven and less funk than other '15 and '14 Folliart's. Still a pleasure.

Light on its feet with a great bouquet of raspberries and cherries. Pop and pour for a food friendly juicy wine.

Cranberry and red fruit. Mild earthy funk. Slightly effervescent on night one, settled into something richer on night two. Could sit for a few years easily. Comes in a step below some other Foillard offerings, but a great wine in its own right.

Not a huge Gamay fan but I can appreciate the quality of this wine. Nose had truffles and bacon fat and the mouth had silky tannins, lots of acidity, baked eggplant and blackberry flavors. More mineral and meat than floral and fruit.

Loads of fruit & quite a full bodied Gamay. Wonderful.
