Cranberry and red fruit. Mild earthy funk. Slightly effervescent on night one, settled into something richer on night two. Could sit for a few years easily. Comes in a step below some other Foillard offerings, but a great wine in its own right.

Not a huge Gamay fan but I can appreciate the quality of this wine. Nose had truffles and bacon fat and the mouth had silky tannins, lots of acidity, baked eggplant and blackberry flavors. More mineral and meat than floral and fruit.
