Since everything is relative and I had higher expectations for this wine, I guess it was disappointing. A bit one dimensional, lacking complexity. Dark fruit with an earthy, tobacco-y edge. Smooth soft tannins. Limited vibrancy added to lack of depth. Previous wines from the Cornas regions I remember to have more punch in both tannins and acidity.
