Great with Mexican food. I try this wine similarly to a Granacha from South America; kind of jammy but with some age, jam subsides and spices meats come out to reveal a gamer tone.

Still very closed. Tannins are high for a CA Grenache. Extremely restrained fruit from cool Bennett Valley. Good acidity, and instead of bright fruit there is secondary tobacco, wood and spice with some sour cherry. You get some garrigue, blood and menthol later.
