The McRae Wood Clare Valley Shiraz

Dry, lean and rustic dark fruits, plum skins, blueberry, painted over taunt tannins. In the glass, pie sporting a crimson bowl. Loads of under brush and wild licorice. It's so good to a Shiraz showing some restraint, nicely done!

Tons of menthol on the initial aromas, great red fruits, and cigar box flavors. Yummy, but typical Aussie.

We should have waited a few years to drink this one, but we enjoyed it anyway!

Probably my favorite wine in the Jim Barry line up.

Pretty darn good. Follow instructions on back of bottle to decant shortly before opening. 15 min of air made a big difference!

Full body, strong aroma, soft tannin, taste of raspberry, plum.

Jan 16. Chris had somr left in a sample bottle. Exquisite wine. Big but elegant. Smooth, complex, extraordinary length. Yes please.
