Excellent immediately. Raspberries, cassis, light cherry, cigar box, black pepper, slight anise, and just a little vanilla. Heavily tannic and would go well with heavier meat. Medium-minus acidity. Didn’t evolve much in the decanter.

Nose insane! Crushed rock, flowers, brambles in a forest, very subtle game and white pepper. I could smell this all night. Palate is also outstanding. Good tannin. A ton of rock, forest, dried flower, tart berries, pepper. So good. Evolves so much and then lingers. Decanted and 3 hours later still could use more time. Wonderful. Is this better than hillside select from pax? I think so...
