The first Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay was released in 1983 and in that same year, Grand Reserve was introduced, a line of K-J’s premium wines. Straw with aromas of stone fruit and tropical fruits with floral spices. On the palate apple, peach and pineapple flavors with citrus notes on good balance. Medium finish ending with smoky notes. Tasting Sample.

Sep 21st, 2017My go to wine. Beautiful color and bouquet. Perfect balance of oak, vanilla, caramel and a touch of melon. Nice smooth, round finish. Love it.

Jul 16th, 2017Has my support at the $20 price point, for a California Chardonnay. The fruit is ripe, with a range of quality levels. The oak is not over the top. I'll even guess, its a stainless steel production, with neutral and slightly splintered American oak staves. Slight butter, slight toast, and a bit of soil dust, and possibly cement.
