Kirkland Signature
Napa Valley Red Blend
Perfectly pleasant. Cherries, black plums, vanilla, toast. Light bodied, simple, tannins kick in at the end.

Dec 6th, 2019Time for #MerlotThursday!
Dark ruby in color with a wide brick rim.
Fruity nose of blueberries, cherries, sweet raspberries, tobacco, spices, wood, cloves, cola and black pepper.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with cherries, sweet strawberries, raspberries, light wood, earth, spices, chocolates, tobacco, coke, peppercorn and leather.
Short finish with fine tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a nice Merlot based Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley. Nice, simple and a little unbalanced.
Good right out of the bottle and good for parties. Better with food.
A little disappointing, but very drinkable nonetheless. Nothing special here, but might be better in a year from now.
I paired it with cheeses, olives and nuts.
A blend of 67% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
86 points.
$12.

Jan 19th, 2020Some flavors of cola or Dr Pepper along with plums and berries. Like some other reviewers, I was skeptical of the high proportion of Merlot (67%). But I found this wine flexible and smooth. Had it with steak one night and spaghetti and meatballs another. It held up worked both times. For $12 it’s a decent buy. I’ll be getting more as a regular mid week wine.

Nov 16th, 2019Pleasantly surprised by this blend. Help very well with food. Nice, smooth, rich and great tannins. Lots of dry berry nose. I enjoyed it and would get it again.
