Clearly california, but definitely makes an attempt at balance. The fruit is amped up and has solid acidity. Has a nice creaminess to it (malo?). Something for everyone here.

2012- some nice flavors but an underlying fatness I hadn't expected for such a highly regarded Chard. Just ok and far from worth the tariff.

I brought this great chard, although a great experience I find this Kistler to need another year or two in bottle. In a group setting with Kosta Browne and J. Rochioli single vyd Chards that have that forward fruit component . I need to bring Kistler by itself and with a little bottle age.. Still have 4 or 5 of this vintage at home. CB
