KNA Wine
Pella Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

#AgedWineTuesday
Dark ruby in color with a brick/ reddish rim.
Such a pretty nose with black fruits, tobacco leaf, chocolate notes and lots of Indian spices.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black currants, blackberries, sweet blueberries, cooked plums, light cedar, earth, peppercorn, light bitter herbs, chocolates, light vanilla, Indian spices, tobacco and dark coffee.
Long, long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This 17-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is drinking beautifully now. Powerful and spicy. Elegant, complex and fruit forward.
Well balanced and rich, but not extracted. Alcohol is nicely integrated by now. Delicious and engaging.
I've had a few vintages of this wine, and this is my favorite vintage so far.
Showing a very complex nose, that I really loved smelling on for a while. I love this kind of wines.
Needs 2 hours in the decanter to open up properly and show its beauty.
Peking now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
A fantastic wine. Spicy and interesting. A great sipping wine that is a joy to drink by itself.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in all new French oak barrels for 24 months. A tiny production of around 1,000 bottles.
14.8% alcohol by volume.
94 points.
$100.
